Safety

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the MC20’s standard Rear Cross Path uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The MC20 has standard SOS and Assist Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the MC20 and the Valhalla have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes and around view monitors.

Warranty

The MC20 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Valhalla’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

There are almost 3 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Aston Martin dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the MC20’s warranty.

Fuel Economy and Range

The MC20 has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

Suspension and Handling

For better maneuverability, the MC20’s turning circle is 1.3 feet tighter than the Valhalla’s (38.7 feet vs. 40 feet).

Chassis

The MC20 GT2 Stradale is 3.1 inches shorter than the Valhalla, making the MC20 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The MC20’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

Ergonomics

The MC20 has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The MC20’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Valhalla’s

The MC20 has a standard center folding armrest for the driver and front passenger. A center armrest helps combat driver fatigue. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a front seat center armrest.

Model Availability

The Maserati MC20 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Aston Martin Valhalla isn’t available as a convertible.
