Safety

The Lamborghini Revuelto has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The SF90 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Revuelto’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The SF90 doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Revuelto has a standard 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The SF90 only offers a rear monitor and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the front or sides.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Revuelto’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The SF90 doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Revuelto and the SF90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The Lamborghini Revuelto weighs 446 pounds more than the Ferrari SF90. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Engine

The Revuelto’s 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 15 more horsepower (1001 vs. 986) than the SF90’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Revuelto’s brake rotors are larger than those on the SF90:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Revuelto has larger standard tires than the SF90 (F:265/35R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:255/35R20 & R:315/30R20). The Revuelto’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the SF90 (F:265/30R21 & R:355/25R22 vs. F:255/35R20 & R:315/30R20).

The Revuelto’s optional 265/30R21 front and 355/25R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the SF90’s 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the SF90. The Revuelto offers optional 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Revuelto can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The SF90 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Revuelto’s wheelbase is 5.1 inches longer than on the SF90 (109.4 inches vs. 104.3 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 1.6 inches wider in the front and 2 inches wider in the rear than on the SF90.
