Safety

The Lamborghini Revuelto has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The DBS doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The Revuelto Ultimae has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The DBS doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Revuelto’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The DBS doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Revuelto’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The DBS doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The Revuelto has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The DBS doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Revuelto and the DBS have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

Warranty

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Revuelto for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the DBS.

Engine

The Revuelto’s 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 286 more horsepower (1001 vs. 715) than the DBS’ standard 5.2 turbo V12. The Revuelto’s 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 241 more horsepower (1001 vs. 760) than the DBS 770 Ultimate Edition’s standard 5.2 turbo V12.

Fuel Economy and Range

The Revuelto Ultimae can travel with zero emissions for 5 miles. The DBS can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Revuelto’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The DBS doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

Transmission and Drivetrain

The Revuelto offers an available sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The DBS doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All wheel drive, available in the Revuelto, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Aston Martin DBS is not available with all wheel drive.

The Revuelto’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The DBS doesn’t offer launch control.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction and acceleration, the Revuelto has larger standard rear tires than the DBS (345/30R21 vs. 305/30R21). The Revuelto’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the DBS (355/25R22 vs. 305/30R21).

The Revuelto’s optional 265/30R21 front and 355/25R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the DBS’ 35 series front and 30 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto offers optional 22-inch rear wheels. The DBS’ largest wheels are only 21-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Revuelto can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The DBS doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Suspension and Handling

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 2.1 inches wider in the front and 2.2 inches wider in the rear than on the DBS.

Ergonomics

The Revuelto’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The DBS does not have an oil pressure gauge.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the Revuelto detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The DBS doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Revuelto has a standard Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The DBS doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
