The Bentley Flying Spur has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The G90 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

An active infrared night vision system optional on the Flying Spur helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then projects the image on the windshield, near the driver’s line of sight. The G90 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Flying Spur and the G90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and available lane departure warning systems.

The Flying Spur comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The G90’s 60,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Flying Spur Hybrid can travel with zero emissions for 21 miles. The G90 can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Flying Spur (except Hybrid)’s fuel efficiency. The G90 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Flying Spur Hybrid’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The G90 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Flying Spur Hybrid’s standard fuel tank has 1.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the G90 (21 vs. 19.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The Flying Spur’s standard fuel tank has 4.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the G90 (23.8 vs. 19.3 gallons).

The Flying Spur offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The G90 doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

For better traction, the Flying Spur has larger standard tires than the G90 (F:265/45R20 & R:295/40R20 vs. F:245/45R20 & R:275/40R20). The Flying Spur’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the G90 (F:275/35R22 & R:315/30R22 vs. F:245/45R20 & R:275/40R20).

The Flying Spur’s optional 275/35R22 front and 315/30R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the G90 3.5T e-SC’s 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Flying Spur offers optional 22-inch wheels. The G90’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

The Flying Spur offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The G90 doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Flying Spur uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the G90 3.5T, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Flying Spur offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Genesis doesn’t offer an active suspension on the G90.

The Flying Spur handles at .98 G’s, while the G90 3.5T e-SC pulls only .84 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Flying Spur executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.5 seconds quicker than the G90 3.5T e-SC (24.7 seconds @ .78 average G’s vs. 26.2 seconds @ .68 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Flying Spur Rear Wheel Steering’s turning circle is .8 feet tighter than the G90 3.5T e-SC’s (36.3 feet vs. 37.1 feet). The Flying Spur’s turning circle is 2.5 feet tighter than the G90 3.5T’s (37.6 feet vs. 40.1 feet).

The Flying Spur has a much larger trunk than the G90 (14.8 vs. 12 cubic feet).

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the Flying Spur to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for oil changes, based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Genesis doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the G90.

If the windows are left open on the Flying Spur the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the G90 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Flying Spur to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The G90 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
