Safety
Reliability
The Temerario’s redline is at 10,000 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The McLaren GTS has a 8500 RPM redline.
Fuel Economy and Range
On the EPA test cycle the McLaren GTS gets better fuel mileage than the Temerario (15 city/22 hwy vs. 14 city/19 hwy).
The McLaren GTS has a gallon more fuel capacity than the Temerario (19 vs. 18 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
The McLaren GTS has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Temerario doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Suspension and Handling
The McLaren GTS has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Temerario doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
Chassis
The McLaren GTS may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 350 pounds less than the Lamborghini Temerario.
Cargo Capacity
The McLaren GTS has a much larger trunk than the Temerario Coupe (20.1 vs. 4 cubic feet).
