When two different drivers share the McLaren GTS, the optional memory system makes it convenient for both. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer a memory system.
If the windows are left open on the McLaren GTS the driver can close all of them from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Mustang GTD can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the McLaren GTS offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer cornering lights.
The McLaren GTS’ standard outside mirrors include heating elements to clear off the mirrors for better visibility. The Mustang GTD doesn’t offer heated side mirrors.
When the McLaren GTS is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Mustang GTD’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.
Both the McLaren GTS and Ford Mustang GTD offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The McLaren GTS offers optional power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the Mustang GTD’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.
The McLaren GTS offers optional heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the Mustang GTD.
