Compare the2026 McLaren 750SVS 2026 Maserati MCPura

The McLaren 750S has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The MCPura doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the 750S and the MCPura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The 750S comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The MCPura’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The 750S’ corrosion warranty is 6 years and unlimited miles longer than the MCPura’s (10/unlimited vs. 4/50,000).

McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the 750S for 3 years and unlimited miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the MCPura.

The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 119 more horsepower (740 vs. 621) and 52 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 538) than the MCPura’s standard 3.0 turbo V6. The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 109 more horsepower (740 vs. 631) and 52 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 538) than the MCPura GT2 Stradale’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.

As tested in Car and Driver the McLaren 750S is faster than the Maserati MCPura 3.0:

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the 750S’ engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The MCPura doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The 750S has 3.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the MCPura (19 vs. 15.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the 750S’ standard brake rotors are larger than those on the MCPura:

The 750S has standard air brakes, which adjust the Spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The MCPura doesn’t offer air brakes.

The 750S stops much shorter than the MCPura:

The 750S has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The MCPura doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The 750S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the MCPura.

The 750S has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The MCPura doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The 750S’ front to rear weight distribution is more even (41.2% to 58.8%) than the MCPura’s (40% to 60%). This gives the 750S more stable handling and braking.

The 750S handles at 1.13 G’s, while the MCPura Coupe pulls only 1.08 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The 750S is shorter than the MCPura, making the 750S easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces:

The 750S is 8.1 inches shorter in height than the MCPura, making the 750S much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The 750S has a much larger trunk than the MCPura Coupe (12.7 vs. 5.3 cubic feet).

The 750S Spider has a much larger trunk with its top down than the MCPura Cielo (7.3 vs. 5.3 cubic feet).

The 750S’ standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The MCPura’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

When the 750S is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The MCPura’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.
