Compare the2026 McLaren 750SVS 2026 Ferrari 12Cilindri

2026 McLaren 750S
2026 Ferrari 12Cilindri

Safety

The McLaren 750S has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The 12Cilindri doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The 750S offers an optional 360 Degree Park Assist to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The 12Cilindri only offers a rear monitor.

Both the 750S and the 12Cilindri have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

Warranty

The 750S’ corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the 12Cilindri’s (10 vs. 3 years).

Reliability

The 12Cilindri’s redline is at 9500 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The 750S has a 8500 RPM redline.

Engine

The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 90 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 500) than the 12Cilindri’s 6.5 DOHC V12.

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the 750S gets better fuel mileage than the 12Cilindri Coupe (15 city/19 hwy vs. 12 city/19 hwy).

On the EPA test cycle the 750S gets better fuel mileage than the 12Cilindri Spider (15 city/19 hwy vs. 12 city/17 hwy).

The 750S has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The 12Cilindri doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

Brakes and Stopping

The 750S has standard air brakes, which adjust the Spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The 12Cilindri doesn’t offer air brakes.

Tires and Wheels

The 750S’ 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 12Cilindri’s 35 series tires.

Suspension and Handling

The 750S has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The 12Cilindri doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The 750S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Ferrari doesn’t offer an active suspension on the 12Cilindri.

The 750S has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The 12Cilindri doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

Chassis

The McLaren 750S may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 750 to 850 pounds less than the Ferrari 12Cilindri.

The 750S is 6.4 inches shorter than the 12Cilindri, making the 750S easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The 750S is 10.9 inches shorter in height than the 12Cilindri, making the 750S much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

Cargo Capacity

The 750S has a much larger trunk than the 12Cilindri Coupe (12.7 vs. 9.5 cubic feet).

Ergonomics

The 750S’ standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The 12Cilindri’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.
