Both the Cullinan and Navigator L have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Cullinan has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Navigator L’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Navigator L doesn’t offer knee airbags.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cullinan helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Navigator L doesn’t offer a night vision system.

For better protection of the passenger compartment, the Cullinan uses safety cell construction with a three-dimensional high-strength frame that surrounds the passenger compartment. It provides extra impact protection and a sturdy mounting location for door hardware and side impact beams. The Navigator L uses a body-on-frame design, which has no frame members above the floor of the vehicle.

Both the Cullinan and the Navigator L have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Cullinan comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Navigator L’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Cullinan for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Lincoln doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Navigator L. (Lincoln offers free maintenance on some Navigator L models.)

The Cullinan’s standard 6.8 turbo V12 produces 123 more horsepower (563 vs. 440) and 117 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 510) than the Navigator L’s 3.5 turbo V6. The Cullinan Black Badge’s standard 6.8 turbo V12 produces 151 more horsepower (591 vs. 440) and 154 lbs.-ft. more torque (664 vs. 510) than the Navigator L’s 3.5 turbo V6.

The Cullinan has a standard locking fuel door which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The fuel filler door is not lockable on the Navigator L. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

For better traction and acceleration, the Cullinan has larger standard rear tires than the Navigator L (285/40R22 vs. 275/50R22). The Cullinan’s optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Navigator L (295/35R23 vs. 285/40R24).

The Cullinan’s standard 255/45R22 front and 285/40R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Navigator L’s 50 series tires. The Cullinan’s optional 295/35R23 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Navigator L Black Label’s optional 40 series tires.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the Cullinan can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Navigator L doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The Cullinan has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Navigator L doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Cullinan uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Navigator L, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Cullinan offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Lincoln doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Navigator L.

The Cullinan has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Cullinan’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Navigator L doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Cullinan Black Badge handles at .82 G’s, while the Navigator L Black Label pulls only .75 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

For better maneuverability, the Cullinan’s turning circle is .6 feet tighter than the Navigator L’s (43.3 feet vs. 43.9 feet).

The Cullinan is 11.1 inches shorter than the Navigator L, making the Cullinan easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Unibody construction lowers the Cullinan’s center of gravity significantly without reducing ground clearance. This contributes to better on the road handling and better off-road performance and stability. In addition, unibody construction makes the chassis stiffer, improving handling and reducing squeaks and rattles. The Navigator L doesn’t use unibody construction, but a body-on-frame design.

The Cullinan has 3.6 inches more front headroom, 2.5 inches more rear headroom and .9 inches more rear legroom than the Navigator L.

The Cullinan’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Navigator L’s (7300 vs. 6600 pounds).

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Navigator L, the Cullinan has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle, climate settings and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Cullinan has a standard heads-up display that projects speed, warning, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Navigator L doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Cullinan’s power side reverse swing out doors make it much easier to load and unload kids and cargo. One touch opens the door, before you even get to the sport utility. The Navigator L doesn’t offer a power rear door.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Cullinan to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Navigator L doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

When the Cullinan is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The Navigator L’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Cullinan’s optional Automatic Parking Assistant can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Navigator L doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
