Compare the2024 Rolls-Royce SpectreVS 2025 Bentley Flying Spur

2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre
2025 Bentley Flying Spur

Safety

The Spectre’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Spectre and the Flying Spur have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre weighs 610 pounds more than the Bentley Flying Spur. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Warranty

The Spectre comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Flying Spur’s 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Spectre’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Flying Spur’s (4 vs. 3 years).

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Spectre for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Bentley doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Flying Spur.

Fuel Economy and Range

The Spectre can travel with zero emissions for 264 to 291 miles (dependent on model). The Flying Spur can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Brakes and Stopping

The Spectre stops much shorter than the Flying Spur:

Tires and Wheels

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Spectre offers optional 23-inch wheels. The Flying Spur’s largest wheels are only 22-inches.

Chassis

The design of the Rolls-Royce Spectre amounts to more than styling. The Spectre has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .25 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Flying Spur (.298). A more efficient exterior helps the Spectre go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the Spectre get better fuel mileage.

Ergonomics

The Rolls-Royce Spectre has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Bentley charges extra for Homelink® on the Flying Spur.
