Compare the2024 Lamborghini Urus VS 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Lamborghini Urus are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Lamborghini Urus has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer knee airbags.

An active infrared night vision system optional on the Urus helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Urus and the Range Rover Sport have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Urus comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Range Rover Sport’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Urus for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Land Rover doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Range Rover Sport.

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 302 more horsepower (657 vs. 355) and 258 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 369) than the Range Rover Sport P360’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 262 more horsepower (657 vs. 395) and 221 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 406) than the Range Rover Sport P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The Urus has 3.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Range Rover Sport P550e’s standard fuel tank (22.5 vs. 18.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Urus Performante handles at 1.04 G’s, while the Range Rover Sport SE pulls only .81 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Urus Performante executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 4.1 seconds quicker than the Range Rover Sport Autobiography (23.1 seconds @ .87 average G’s vs. 27.2 seconds @ .66 average G’s).

The Lamborghini Urus may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 250 to 1200 pounds less than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

The Urus is 8 inches shorter in height than the Range Rover Sport, making the Urus much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

As tested by Car and Driver while under full throttle, the interior of the Urus is quieter than the Range Rover Sport SE (78 vs. 79 dB).

The Urus has 1.6 inches more front headroom, 1.3 inches more front legroom and 2.2 inches more rear legroom than the Range Rover Sport.

The Urus has a larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Range Rover Sport with its rear seat folded (56.4 vs. 53 cubic feet).

While the Range Rover Sport P550e can only tow 6613, any Urus can tow a minimum of 7716 pounds.

The Urus’ optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Park Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Range Rover Sport’s automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.
